i've been following this one for a couple years now .... good story line
this particular comic made me stop and think.
"all a person wants out of life is for someone else to recognize their greatness. we spend so much time trying to show others what we can do, that we often forget to give. we want to receive thanks and praise, but too often we forget to give what we so desperately seek. do onto others as it were. recognize others and they will recognize you but when all is said and done, it matters little how much praise we get from others. the glory pales in comparison to your own child saying thank you. you spend so much time giving to them selflessly. anything to make them happy and to see them succeed. for years, you forget your climb to greatness, your path to glory, you forget everything but your child. years go by as you give and keep giving never expecting anything in return. it is only when you see your child on stage before a crowd of parents crammed into a small gymnasium; more nervous butterflies in your stomach then theirs. it is then that they throw you a small wave or smile from the stage. when asked, they answer, "my daddy is my hero." "my mommy is the smartest person." no matter what greatness you sought or achieved before matters when you are given a simple compliment from your child. spoken with sincerity that you can only get from youth you feel more proud of them then you. you give the greatness they gave you and you give it back. you support them and make sure they live a happy life. they are your heart and soul. nothing they ask is too great. you would not hesitate storm the very gates of hell for them, or help small fingers tie their shoes. caring for them and making sure they are safe and hapy are your only priority. and damn the world if it gets in your way"
most definately the way i feel bout my kids
.... even if they are the ones that will have me committed to the mental institution
